Essential Genetic Tests for Labradors

Genetic testing is fundamental for breeding healthy Labradors. A responsible breeder will always provide you with results of these tests.
Mandatory Tests
EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse)

PRA-PRCD (Progressive Retinal Atrophy)
Causes progressive blindness. Important for the dog’s quality of life.
DM (Degenerative Myelopathy)
Neurological disease that affects the spinal cord in older dogs.
Hip and Elbow Tests (OFA)
- Excellent: Perfect hips
- Good: Very good, suitable for breeding
- Fair: Acceptable
- Mild/Moderate/Severe: Not suitable for breeding
